If you are interested in conducting a technical presentation at the conference, please submit an abstract to our technical program committee by completing the following form.  For consideration, abstracts should be submitted no later than July 31, 2010.

The Technical Program subcommittee for the conference will review all of the abstracts received and notify you whether your abstract has been accepted. Notification of acceptance will be sent by August 20, 2010.

Please join us for the first technical lunch of 2008. This month’s speaker will be Mr. Patrick Laidlaw, P.E.. Mr. Laidlaw is a Regional Sales Manager with Underground Solutions, Inc. out of Salt Lake City, Utah, covering the Northwestern states in the US and Western Canadian Provinces.. He has over 12 years experience in the water and wastewater industry, including experience in the consulting industry and sales management for US Filter and Eimco prior to joining Underground Solutions in 2006.  Mr. Laidlaw has a MS degree in Environmental Engineering and a BS degree in Civil Engineering from Pennsylvania State University.

Mr. Laidlaw will be speaking to us about Fusible PVC™ pipe, including Fusible C-900® and Fusible C-905® products, for use in trenchless applications including pipe bursting, horizontal directional drilling, and sliplining.  A few projects to be discussed include: pipe bursting in Toronto, directional drilling in Ottawa, and a 3000 m, 600 mm diameter restrained joint project in Victoria.  Another case study will review the longest single pull (~1600 m) of plastic pipe in a horizontal directional drill application.
